Paul Smith - Day 3 LFW SS 2012

Paul and his girls.....
simple shift dress

pure whites work well with the animal print and coral hat

Wow! earthy tones, mixed with Mediterranean hues of the ocean

The audience - representative of the Far East market who love all Paul Smith does...as do we

love the chain handled bag -

Fabulous ! adventurous colour combinations a winner here ,

This Taffeta silk skirt and nude top look great here with the yellow shoes

Tom Boy Fem ...

I love this ensemble - so easy to wear - 1980s and Annie Lennox comes to mind...or dare I say it Agnes Deyn!

cropped trousers and high shoes with a baggy boy friends shirt a cool look....

love this pastel plaid for Summer .....

The shimmer of raw silk used here on the ankle trousers add an extra dimension

Safari influence / Out of Africa - Animal print continues across the seasons

cool, androgeny, very rock n roll...

Paul Smith has come up trumps again with another uber cool collection for Spring Summer 2012. 'She's a Rainbow' played out the end of the show as Paul and his girls walked the catwalk circuit - this Rolling Stones song epitomised this brilliant show from the master of British fashion cool.
His trade mark confident 'Tom Boy Fem' styling was dominated by cropped slim line trousers worn with oversized jumpers, white, patterned or colour block blouses alternatively worn under bright coloured tailored jackets looking easy to wear reflecting the laid back spirit that is shaping trends for next season. This chic and understated look is aspirational in the present economic climate. I loved the styling as always - The array of hats set the look off perfectly and I loved the hand bags with Chanel like gold chains,  a touch of bling to go with the androgeny balanced the look perfectly.
The look is by no means 'rock chick' but was in parts very Rock n Roll and intelligent, ideal for the Paul Smith woman. Wear it to a Festival or to work - this laid back collection can work for either.
